Andreas Speer is a native to Germany with a voracious interest in gaming. Starting out in the business world Speer worked in Industrial Sales at a German automotive company. He worked here for two years before working as a Branch Employee at Lidlk. He stayed at Lidlk for one year before taking apposition at Deluxe Video Services. From 1994 to 1997 at the video service company he works as a customer service representative and eventually a Production Planner soon. While working, Speer studied Applied Science at the University of Offenburg. He completed his studies in 2002, receiving a degree in Media and Information.
Speers’ next big project is Spellbound Entertainment AG. The company was founded in 1994—Andreas joined the company as a Project Manager in 2001. In 2003 he was promoted to Studio Manager. Putting in hard working and getting crucial experience, Speers was offered and accepted the position of CEO at Spellbound Entertainment AG. The company is noted for their video game series, Desperados. After a period of prosperity the company experienced financial hardship, and was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2011.
With the dissolution of Spellbound Entertainment AG, Speers was free for a start-up project on the horizon. Using the manpower from Spellbound Enterainment AG and working with partner Adrian Georsch, the gamers banded together to found Black Forest Games. The company’s vision focuses on high-quality role-playing games and strategy games. Their offices are located in Offenburg, Germany. Speers has contributed notable video games Giana Sisters, Owlverlord, and DieselStormers.
