Lessons Learned

If you're just getting started as an entrepreneur, Cesar shared a lesson he learned in his experience: "Remember that everything will get better- keep focused, keep passionate, and keep going forward."

According to Cesar's experience, "When you start a business, you think that you’ll be the owner and everything just happens, but really you have to wear every cap. It helps a lot to know the business from the bottom up."

As an entrepreneur, Cesar learned a lot about how to hire and retain the right people to work for him. According to him, "When you’re recruiting people (to work in your business): Recruit based on values. Sometimes, as an entrepreneur, you start by recruiting friends-of-a-friend, or you hire family members. That’s not a good idea. Make sure you hire someone based on their values and also make sure that their culture aligns with your company's culture."
