Profile

Alan Cheung (ALAN KING ) started AKINGSNY on January of 2016, but the history goes back even further during the his time at High School (New York City). Alan started making print tees when he was 15, which developed into designing and producing his first pair of denim when he was 17. Upon posting the item on Facebook, a friend shared his post to Reddit on r/rawdenim, which quickly had thousands of people to flooding his site. His jeans are known for their striking J shape cut nicknamed the Banana shape denim. This shape allows for AKINGSNY to be unique in the market place and create a cult like following around the stacking aesthetic the shape creates on the customers body.

Alan has been featured in a number of press including ABC News, BuzzFeed, Entrepreneur, Fashion Week Online, Fox News, Huffpost, Nylon (magazine), NBC, The Source, Toksick Magazine, Pause Magazine, University of Southern California Trojans, and number of other blogs

Since then Alan has founded a second company specializing in helping startup apparel companies get off the floor under the name CLOUTX. They provide a vertical solution from fabric development, sourcing to production management, quality control and manufacturing.
